TSP Checklist for Implementing STIR/SHAKEN
All service providers must implement STIR/SHAKEN call authentication by November 2021!
Telecommunications Service Providers (TSPs) in Canada are being directed by the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to implement STIR/SHAKEN call authentication by 30 November 2021.
With this deadline looming, here’s what TSPs need to know:
- The implementation of STIR/SHAKEN is a multi-step process – so you need to start now
- TSPs are required to submit an Implementation Readiness Assessment by 31 August 2021
- For carriers that delay, their subscribers’ calls may be mistakenly labeled as spam, and possibly blocked
Download our checklist that provides detailed steps that will ensure you have everything in place for a successful STIR/SHAKEN deployment.
*In July 2020, the CST-GA selected Neustar as its Secure Telephone Identity (STI) Policy Administrator (STI-PA) and Certification Authority (STI-CA) to help eligible carriers participate in the STI call authentication ecosystem by CRTC June 2021 deadline. Learn more.
