James Willett is Vice President of Support and Professional Services, Security Solutions at Neustar. In his role, James ensures Neustar Security Solutions provide clients with the protection and stability needed to maintain a competitive advantage. In this effort, he oversees a team of customer support, professional services engineering, consultants and industry security experts who are dedicated to deploying, optimizing and supporting the most advanced web-based security solutions and services possible.
In his 25+ year career, James has excelled at delivering winning management strategies with customers and team members alike, producing results while solving customer and business problems. At Neustar, James has led engineering, operations, product management, professional services, customer success, customer support and sales engineering teams spanning both Security and Marketing solutions. James joined Neustar through the UltraDNS acquisition where he was responsible for expanding service offerings into what is now known as the DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (IPAM) or DDI space.
Prior to Neustar, James founded JaTell, a boutique-consulting firm specializing in engagements with Fortune 500 clients and critical Internet infrastructure providers. As Director of Professional Services for MainNerve, Inc., James was operationally responsible for managing all consulting processes and customer service delivery, including the company's high-stakes information security clients. Prior to MainNerve, James held various systems engineering and consulting positions where he was responsible for maintaining IT systems and applications in production environments. Earlier in his career, he served with the United States Marine Corps as a Communications-Electronics Maintenance Chief. While in this role, he managed the maintenance and repair of all radio, telephone, switchboard and computer systems for combat-ready units, including all test equipment, manuals and Marines. James holds a B.S. in Information Technology from University of Phoenix.
Senior Professional Services Consultant
Chris has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry across a variety of disciplines including: Product Management, Sales Engineering, Consulting, Management Consulting, Support, Operations, and Service Delivery.
He is currently a Sr. Professional Services Engineer and the team lead for the Security Services PS Team, primarily supporting the UltraDNS and UltraDDoS Protect service suites, in addition to custom consulting engagements. Through a combination of his business and technical acumen, Chris offers a complete and versatile perspective to his clients. Chris strives for efficiency in all facets of his work and uses his depth and breadth of experience to assist his clients in achieving that same efficiency within their own organizations.
Prior to joining Neustar, Chris worked for UPS Logistics as consultant and as an analyst at a boutique telecommunications consulting firm in the Washington, DC area.
Senior Professional Services Engineer
Mike has been with Neustar and MetaInfo (purchased by Neustar) for 18 years, starting in product support, moving to manage MetaInfo's support group, continuing at Neustar as a Manager of Product Support, and is now a Neustar Senior Professional Services Engineer. Mike has been working in the technology industry for over 45 years, including work as a Unix and Linux system administrator, medical imaging research, DNS and DHCP management, and computer security work.
Prior to joining Neustar Mike held positions with the University of California, Berkeley; Colorado State University; Massachusetts General Hospital (with an ancillary Harvard faculty appointment); Seafloor Surveys; and MetaInfo.
Senior Consulting Services Consultant
As a Senior Consultant, Mark has over 35 years of Software Development experience in corporate, non-profit, and government environments including telecommunications, big data, security, and multiple space programs, most notably working on the Space Shuttle, Tomahawk Cruise Missile variations, Atlas and Titan rocket boosters, satellite command and control software, Remedy Action Request System, and LNP projects. Mark began at a Neustar affiliate in 2000. Prior to joining Neustar, Mark worked for General Dynamics, Computer Sciences Corporation, Raytheon, Apex Systems, and Comcast. Client roster includes Lockheed-Martin, Hughes, and Cricket Wireless. Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from National University, an AS in Computer Technology from Cuyamaca College, and numerous certifications from BMC/Remedy.
Lead Consulting Service Consultant
Amin joined Neustar in April of 2020. He brings more than 10 years of Network Security holding various positions of increasing responsibility. Since coming to Neustar Amin has applied his knowledge and expertise in helping support high visibility BGP clients providing deeper focus and attention to their adoption, success, efficiency in network security operations.
Prior to his career in Network Security Amin spent 5 years working in the NOC and SOC of 2 of the top 5 ISPs. As a leader in his teams, Amin served as a mentor for new hires and a resource to those seeking personal advancement. He developed curricula and conducted training sessions for other engineers working on their CompTIA Security+, Network +, and Cisco certification. He holds certifications in CEH, ECIH, various Cisco, and CISSP.
Director, Professional Services
Mr. Yorkdale is a seasoned security and management professional with strong domestic and international operations. He has more than 30 years of demonstrated experience in the field of Security Risk and Vulnerability, Information Security, Physical/Technical Security, Counterintelligence, and Intellectual Property protection. This deep understanding was developed while serving at the Central Intelligence Agency and the private sector.
His career includes assignments in Eastern and Western Europe, Central and East Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Yorkdale was personally selected to serve at the White House as the Director of Security Programs for the National Security Council. Glenn obtained and holds accreditation in Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH).
Lead Consulting Services Consultant
Brion came to Neustar in February of 2009 where he worked as a Tier I Support Specialist in the Enterprise Services Support group. He quickly moved up to a Tier II Specialist and worked on deployments as well as other special projects, DDOS attacks, and mitigated UltraDDoS Protect events.
In January 2015 Brion made the move to Professional Services where he is currently working one on one with UltraDDoS Protect customers and UltraDNS DNS deployment engagements. He is the main POC for our customers as they onboard their UltraDDoS Protect and UltraDNS services. Brion also serves as Technical Account Manager for several of Neustar’s largest and most valued customers.
Prior to joining Neustar Brion worked for several national chain retail and restaurant companies in their IT departments with positions ranging from Assistant Network Administrator to Help Desk Professional.
Lead Consulting Services Consultant
David has over 30 years of technology experience with focus on ISP Data Communications, Information Security and Internet Infrastructure deployment strategies for large enterprise clients, associated partners, and their customers. David previously served 9 years as a Sr. Professional Services Engineer before rejoining Neustar as a Lead Consultant and Technical Account Manager with the Professional Services Team.
Formerly a co-founder and Technical Architect at Linkwise Internet Services, a dot-com era ISP in the Dallas Infomart. David also served as Sr. Sales Engineer for a Singapore based VPN technology company, Sr. Systems Engineer for a web application company in the healthcare sector, and as Sr. Systems Engineer & DNS/IPAM/DDI SME for a large financial institution.
David is also a participating attendee/member of NANOG, a group of the world’s top networking experts that meets to exchange best practices and discuss standards for emerging technologies. Having lived in Louisiana for most of his youth, he is partial to Cayenne Pepper and LSU Football.
Lead Consulting Services Consultant
Timber obtained a Computer Engineering degree from University of Florida in 2003. After starting his career as a software engineer, Timber pursued his discovered passion for Information Security. Timber regularly conducts static, dynamic (penetration testing), and architectural information security assessments. In the past he has designed and implemented static analysis and vulnerability management programs and performed FEED studies to design future state architecture designs for Information Technology (IT) and Operation Technology (OT) networks for multiple companies.
As part of the static analysis program work Timber performs full stack work. He setup a static analysis program to include training for SSDLC, select and implement a static analyzer, hunt for vulnerabilities manifesting in production, make recommendations for remediation and then close the loop with feedback into the SSDLC program to help prevent these types of vulnerabilities being reintroduced in future releases. The remediation strategies include things like WAF rule(s), kill chain strategies, awareness (detection and alerting), and malware neutering. Timber is well versed in information security frameworks and always aligns the vulnerability management programs with some minimum bar of a framework like the NIST CSF. Timber is also an active contributor to open-source projects and has several of his own related to information security.
Timber is an EC Council certified instructor (ECI) and periodically teaches classes in and Ethical Hacking (EH), Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigation (CHFI), Digital forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), and Reverse Engineering (RE) Malware/Android/IOS. He has served as adjunct instructor for New Jersey Institute of Technology, Kansas State Univ., and Univ. of Miami; and sits on two advisory boards to assist with improving forward looking security posture and training programs.
Technical Product Support Manager
Jeff came to join Neustar as part of the Verisign acquisition in late 2018. Previously, he spent 10 years at Verisign, working as a network security engineer when Verisign’s DDoS Protection Services went general availability. Working on the front lines for a few years, he eventually transitioned into a Technical Account Manager role, providing white-glove support for large enterprise customers. He also provided hands-on Managed DNS Services and DNS Firewall provisioning and support.
Prior to Verisign, Jeff worked for 13 years at a Loudoun Co., VA systems integrator, Telos Corporation. He joined as a senior system integrator (servers, RAID, networking), providing local, regional, and national installations of various computer and networking hardware. While employed at Telos, he achieved various vendor certifications such as Dell, HP, Microsoft MCSE and Cisco CCNA to maintain various contractual obligations to federal customers. The last few years at Telos were spent as the company’s network and security manager, supporting mostly Cisco routers, switches and VPN’s for remote offices.
Before entering the computer/networking and security field, Jeff spent 10 years in digital/analog/RF electronics component level troubleshooting and systems integrations, in various telecom and meteorological systems companies.
