Neustar DDoS and Cyber Security Report Wins InfoSec Award for Research Report
We’re pleased to announce that the October 2017 edition of Neustar’s signature distributed denial of service (DDoS) report, formally titled “October 2017 Global DDoS Attacks & Cyber Security Insights Report,” claimed gold in the 14th Annual 2018 Info Security PG’s Global Excellence Awards.
The DDoS report is a trusted representation of the DDoS landscape for companies and organizations across the globe. The report, which comes out bi-annually, surveys more than one thousand C-suite IT professionals from a variety of fields to gauge their levels of alarm, preparation, and interaction with DDoS attacks.
“We conceptualized this report as a way to survey and inform IT professionals on what’s taking place in the DDoS environment,” said Joe Loveless, Director of Product Management for Security Solutions at Neustar.
Loveless later added, “Throughout the years, we’ve built upon the success of the report by finding ways to make the information more relevant, like supplementing the independent survey data with statistics from our Security Operations Center, and including breakout stories based on customer experiences. But above all, we continue to keep our finger on the pulse and stayed atop of dangerous trends in an effort to try to make the Internet a safer place for all, and certainly a safer place to conduct business.”
In addition to IT professionals and businesses, the DDoS Attacks and Impact Report is frequently cited and relied upon by members of the media, as it provides historical context and insight into the existing state of DDoS defenses and emerging DDoS trends.
