Meet the 2019 ANA Genius Awards Finalists for Excellence in Marketing Analytics

Nearly every marketer these days is preaching big data, and touting their newfound devotion to analytics. But how many brands have truly mastered this practice - so much so that they’ve moved beyond crunching numbers and have transformed the way they do business?

Indeed, few among us can claim to have reached Genius status - in any aspect of our lives - but when it comes to marketing analytics, these marketers are close. After a deep pool of entrants made their cases, and an extensive judging process, these brands can claim to be 2019 ANA Genius Awards finalists

The Genius Awards, now in their seventh year, seek to honor the most creative and progressive marketing organizations for their innovation in analytics. To be considered for Genius status, these marketers have demonstrated prowess in tapping into analytical thinking to boost their bottom line revenue, or improve their creative storytelling, or even tackle their heftiest business challenges.

The finalists, representing the savviest use of marketing analytics, are honored in four award categories:

Data and Analytics Adoption: Adobe, PepsiCo, STX Entertainment, and USA for UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) have been recognized for outstanding achievement in the organizational adoption of data and analytics to boost business outcomes.

Data and Analytics Growth: Adobe, PepsiCo, and USA for UNHCR are finalists for outstanding achievement in business growth driven by the specific and demonstrable impact of marketing data and analytics.

Data and Analytics Innovation: Darden Restaurants, Intel, and Square are finalists for the use of a progressive, analytics-based approach to solve a business challenge or seize an opportunity.

Data and Analytics Storytelling: Anheuser-Busch, Live Nation, Pearle Vision, and Pittsburgh Cultural Trust (Shared Services Dept) are recognized for outstanding achievement in the use of data to tell enlightening, visual stories that support business goals and/or open up new opportunities.

The 2019 Genius Awards winners will be announced at the ANA Masters of Marketing conference, October 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. Winners will share a $100,000 prize pool for a charity of their choice.
