Enter the 2021 ANA Genius Awards

Calling all marketing analytics Geniuses. The 2021 ANA Genius Awards, presented by Neustar, is now open for submissions. Now is your time to shine. Show off your best work from 2020--a year that pushed marketers like no other to strengthen their data-driven practices--for your chance to win a portion of this year's $100K charitable prize to be donated to the cause of your choice, earn the industry recognition and accolades you deserve, and join the ranks of past Genius Awards winners like Fossil, Sam's Club, and Zillow. 

Now celebrating our ninth year, the ANA Genius Awards is the only annual competition that rewards excellence in marketing analytics. And client-side marketers and agencies acting on their clients' behalf are invited to enter the competition. 

Every year our esteemed panel of industry judges, including industry CMOs, marketing scientists, and other notable marketers and academics, selects a handful of standout entrants as finalists and then, after another round of voting, four winners are named across the categories of:

  • Growth: The Genius Award for Marketing Analytics GROWTH recognizes outstanding achievement in the use of a data-driven approach to drive significant business results.

  • Adoption: The Genius Award for Marketing Analytics ADOPTION recognizes outstanding achievement in the organizational adoption of data and analytics to boost business outcomes.

  • Innovation: The Genius Award for Marketing Analytics INNOVATION recognizes outstanding achievement in the use of a progressive, analytics-based, approach to solve a business challenge or seize an opportunity.

  • Storytelling: The Genius Award for Marketing Analytics STORYTELLING recognizes outstanding achievement in the use of data to tell an enlightening, visual story that encourages organizations to make insights actionable.

In 2020, we saw a record number of entries, representing best-in-class marketers from across brands, social media platforms, and nonprofits, with finalists including USAA, Twitter, Universal Parks and Resorts, and more.

How to enter the 2021 ANA Genius Awards, presented by Neustar

Check out our submission guidelines and follow these four steps and you'll be on your way to winning:

  1. Brainstorm your entry topic and theme: Align on which of your previous year’s projects delivered the greatest impact for your company and which ANA Genius Award category is the best fit​ for your entry.

  2. Collaborate: Assemble a small team to bring together all of the necessary data and detail and, possibly, creative resources to produce the entry​.

  3. Develop your plot, including your team's mission​, key players, methods, challenges​, insights, and ultimate impact​.

  4. Submit a winning story: Be sure to follow the entry prompts provided, share relevant visuals as directed, and edit your work before completing your submission.

Timeline for the 2021 ANA Genius Awards, presented by Neustar

  • Entry period: Now open. We're accepting submissions through Friday, June 14. 

  • Results: Our 2021 finalists will be announced Thursday, September 30 and our 2021 winners will be named at this year's ANA Masters of Marketing on Tuesday, October 5.
