Neustar Inbound Authentication to be on exhibit at sixth annual conference held August 3

The company’s nominated technology, Neustar Inbound Authentication, will be on exhibit at the 2020 Igniting Innovation Conference and Awards event held August 3 in Washington, D.C.

Neustar Inbound Authentication allows federal agencies to identify and authenticate inbound callers before an agent or interactive voice response system answers the call. Implementing the groundbreaking technology can improve the citizen experience, increase operational efficiency and support several complementary cross-agency priority goals, all without sacrificing security. Many agencies struggle to identify citizens quickly because, on average, over 60 percent of their records are out of date after only two years. The uncertainty surrounding a caller’s identity forces agencies to treat all inbound callers with excess caution and introduces risk of fraud.
Neustar Inbound Authentication works by filling in knowledge gaps and enabling call centers to make better informed decisions. The technology leverages the proprietary Neustar OneID identity platform and Neustar’s Caller Name service which powers 90 percent of caller ID in the U.S.. When an inbound number does not match a record in an agency’s customer relationship management database, Neustar OneID returns critical datapoints associated with the incoming number, including potential fraud risk. Data is cross-checked within milliseconds, allowing for nearly instant caller identification. In tandem, Neustar Inbound Authentication relies on its TRUSTID technology, which combines historical data from processing billions of calls with real-time telephone forensics to determine each calling device is unique, authentic, physical and presents little to no risk of fraud.
